Tournaments and travel
We are planning to have the whole organization attend 1 tournament together next year.
It is possible teams may go to more tournaments together, but one will be a whole organization commitment.
Teams may travel on other holidays, particularly the Select teams, as tournaments are usually scheduled on these dates. But this will be done on a team by team basis.
Select teams should expect to travel to about 6 tournaments (Past examples: Las Vegas, Denver, Boise, Wyoming, San Jose, Phoenix) as well as the National tournament (IF they win the state tournament)
Elite teams should expect to travel to about 5 tournaments but they will be closer and smaller venues. (Las Vegas, Boise, Wyoming, Montana, Salmon ID, Sun Valley, Phoenix, Denver, Aspen)
But tournament travel will be a coaches decision for each team. We will have a travel coordinator position at the board level to help coordinate all this, and to try to have teams travel together wherever possible.
