The WMAHA Board of Directors met on February 22, 2012.  It’s a bit ironic that as the season winds down, we ramp up for next season!  And after such a great season, we know many of you are already asking about the National Tournament, 4-on-4,  next year’s coaches, tryouts, surveys and of course, our (in)famous year end banquet.  Here’s just a bit to…….wet your appetite:

• National Tournament:  Proudly, the Jr. Grizzlies are sending three teams to the Tier II National Championships.  The Midgets will be traveling to Green Bay, Bantams to New Jersey and Peewees to Northern Virginia.  We will try and keep you updated on results and if it is on Fast Hockey.  Good Luck to all our teams.

• 4 on 4:  Yes, our very popular full ice, high speed, let’s see that dangle, 4 on 4 Spring ice is back.  We expect it to start the week of April 9th. 

• Teams:  We are expecting to have two teams from the Midget u16 age group and younger.  We are also receiving a lot of interest for a u18 team.

• Coaches:  Coaching applications will be posted shortly.  We encourage all those that wish to coach to please fill out an application.

• Tryouts:  We are waiting on ice confirmation.  Please expect the first half of June.  And similar to last year, multiple sessions, a goalie only evaluation, scrimmages, etc. 

• Surveys:  We are getting them ready.  Please fill them out.  They are anonymous and we read each one carefully to make the changes you want for your child in your organization.

• Banquet:  I know, it’s all about the food.  We are hoping to have it the first week of April.
