Please note that rink schedules can change throughout the season and any changes will be communicated.
As part of the registration process players will need to first register with USA Hockey. USA Hockey registration may have a fee based on the player's age and that fee is separate from the Mini Grizz program registration fee. USA Hockey registration is valid for one season.
Mini Grizz is intended for 6U and 8U age group players with some hockey experience. For the 2022-2023 season, this includes birth years 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017. Players from birth year 2018 are required to register for the Utah Junior Grizzlies Learn to Play program first where they can be evaluated by the Mini Grizz coaching staff, and if recommended by the Mini Grizz Head Coach, they may be offered an option to transfer from Learn to Play to 6U Mini Grizz during the season.
The Mini Grizz registration fee includes a reversible jersey and black socks to be used for practices and games but does not include any of the required equipment list below. The Utah Junior Grizzlies have been in contact with the KORTH REBELS FOUNDATION, which can provide used equipment through its exchange program at no cost: https://korthrebels.com/equipment-exchange. If interested, players should contact Donald Korth, firstname.lastname@example.org or (801) 450-3614.
Other resources for equipment include:
Registered players will need to have all their equipment before they are allowed on the ice.
All players are expected to follow the Utah Junior Grizzlies Rink Rules.
